Here’s a story about a group of kids in Ethiopia bringing the world of skateboarding to their homeland.Abenezer Temesgen & Sean Stromsoe in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia founded Ethiopia Skate.
Abenezer Temesgen, the young founder of Ethiopia Skate, uses skateboarding to empower the youth; and with only 7 boards between 25 kids they are reaching out to the world of skaters as they enter a new frontier of skateboarding. Currently, they are in the process of establishing a non-profit organization with the help of an international team of skateboarders and organizers.
They announce to the world, “Everything we do is dedicated to sharing the love of skateboarding in our country, nothing else. We just want to skate!”
